Thanks and bravo to all participants of the 2019 EOP String Competition; there is so much talent here in Colorado! The results of the 2019 competition have been posted HERE. The 1st place in each category (including the alumni category) is expected to perform in the Winners Recital on Sunday, 3/17, at 12 noon in the Concert Hall. If your child cannot perform tomorrow, please let us know ASAP so that the opportunity may be offered the to the 2nd place awardee.

For the Winners Concert, please choose one piece to perform (not both). If you could email to us the title of the piece, I would appreciate it. The Winners Recital is open to the public and we hope to see all of you there!

Also, a quick reminder that the masterclass will be taking place in the Recital Hall tomorrow at 10:30 AM.

The second annual EOP String Competition + Festival is open to all violin, viola, and cello students between the ages of 7-18 studying classical music. The EOP Competition is presented in collaboration with the string department of the Metropolitan State University of Denver and will be held in the spectacular King Center on the MSU campus on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17.

The purpose of this competition is to provide young string students throughout the Colorado Front Range area an opportunity to compete within their own instrumental and age groups. Unlike most other competitions for young instrumentalists, violinists will compete with violinists, cellists with cellists, etc. Winners within each group will have the opportunity to perform in a winner’s recital at the King Center Concert Hall. All competitors are invited to a performance given by the string faculty at MSU Denver as well as other programs and instructional opportunities that will be presented throughout the two-day event.
